Legal Cover

Dealing with legal issues can be extremely frustrating as they’re often quite complex. To help you, we’ve developed Legal Cover! This is a policy that includes three main benefits: the Basic Benefit, Mediation Benefit, and the Litigation Benefit.

The Basic Benefit includes:

  • advice on any private legal or labour matters

The Mediation Benefit includes:

  • assistance with criminal and labour matters
  • mediation in civil and family matters
  • drafting of agreements like wills and contracts of sale
  • assistance with matters of identity theft – unlimited cover

The Litigation Benefit includes:

  • cover if you are involved in any criminal, civil or labour court proceedings
  • cover from as early as one month after the commencement or reinstatement date of your policy (subject to policy terms and conditions)
  • representation for bail applications, disciplinary hearings and identity theft
  • cover of up to R120 000 per year
  • opposed and unopposed divorces (plan dependent)
